What good resources for gems do you recommend, be it a book or online. I have Cunningham's book, but unfortunately it is limited in information and stones.

I personally like to supplement Cunningham with a variety of sources. I like the Smithsonian Guides to Gemstones and Rocks (two separate volumes), because they go into the chemical composition of the stones. Often stones are a combination of other ones, and have only a slightly different composition. For instance, quartz, amethyst, and citrine are chemically the same, it is only a single thing that makes the colors different. Same goes for sapphire and ruby: they're both corundum. It makes it easier to group different stones together for a more complex working. Website-wise, I like www.bernardine.com, the International Colored Gemstone Association's website www.gemstone.org. Both have interesting facts and lore. The first website has a bibliography listed as well. Another good book that doesn't deal exclusively with gemstones is Agrippa's Four Books on Occult Philosophy, which has TONS of information. Also, Ravenwolf's Solitary Witch has some good info. The main issue with Cunningham is that it was written in the 80's, so there are gemstones that have been discovered since then! He is a good starting point though. I like looking in his bibliographies, and then hunting down some of those sources lol. Crystal Bible is GREAT too!!!!! Great suggestion, Stevie!!!
