So let's start our dedication of past witches with Cassandra who appears in Greek Myth.
I don't quite remember everything about her so I will need the rest of you to help.
She received the gift of prophecy from Apollo who fell in love with her. She did not return that love so he left her with the curse that her prophecies would not be believed. Later she was enslaved by Agamemnon during the Trojan War. Shortly after that she was murdered by Clytemenstra, the wife of Agamemnon (whom she also murdered).
Just a side note for fun: If Apollo falls in love with one of you, don't refuse him!
