i only ever made one amulet before.
it was for a friend of mine, kind of a bring me love type.
and yes it did work!!!

i was wondering what would you use to make one for protection?
or maybe is there a good gem for protection?
or is a talisman better, like a rabbit's foot or something?

i would really like to keep away all evil from my life.
i thought having something hanging in my house would be a good idea...

There's a lot of good gems you can use. But you could use things like a rabbit's foot. It all depends on what you feel drawn to, if you ask me. If you have a talisman that feels like it would work for you, then go for it. I bet some of the gems Luna posted would be good for protection.

A good thing for protection, especially in the house, it a witch's ball. It is basically a hollow glass globe with a hole in the bottom, that is charged as a sort of "trap" for negativity or evil. They work GREAT!!!

You could also use a dreamcatcher. Just charge it with the intention of trapping evil in both waking hours and in slumber.

Images works as well. You could have a drawing you hang on your door or somewhere in the house. Think of a gargoyle, there intention was to scare away evil. I have an image of Medusa that I made years ago that I use for that purpose. The Greeks used her image often for protection.
