For those of us who can get together......
What sort of field trips can we do in Ohio?
I am thinking initially for day trips, rather than overnight. I think it is very important to get out and enjoy the world around us!!!
Some ideas so far:
Kingswood Center in Mansfield, OH: Beautiful gardens (complete with peacocks wandering about!!), with a manor house. About an hour and a half from Akron. Admission is $2-$4 a person.
Akron Zoo in Akron, OH: Loves the animals!!!! Admission is $10, unless you are a member. It's always fun to go on Cow Appreciation Day on July 15th (Mommy, we saw WITCHES!!!).
Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad: Take a ride on the natural side!!! The train travels through Cuyahoga Valley National Parks to a variety of places. Prices depend on where you decide to go.
I'm sure there are a ton of other places to go, we just have to find them!!
